Hello everyone,
The City of Yonkers has entered Phase 2 of Andrew Cuomo’s reopening plan.
Businesses that will begin to reopen in Phase 2 are:
• Offices
• Real Estate
• Certain In-Store Retail
• Vehicle Sales, Leases, and Rentals
• Retail Rental, Repair, and Cleaning
• Commercial Building Management
• Hair Salons and Barbershops
• Outdoor and Take-Out/Delivery Food Services
After spending an ample amount of time at home, I am sure we are all eager to get outside again, especially during these hot summer days. However, we must remember that we are still facing a pandemic and we should still be wearing our personal protection equipment while adhering to social distancing. Members of the community must do their part while they enjoy food and other services reopening. With the continuous and collective efforts of everyone, we will get through this and find our way back to stability.
In recognition of the impact COVID-19 has had on the local economy, Mayor Mike Spano has asked the Planning and Engineering Department to fast track all outdoor dining permits and significantly reduce the fees. Permit applications for outdoor dining in Yonkers are available at www.YonkersNY.gov.

In order to ensure the safety of citizens everywhere, businesses reopening during Phase 2 must follow guidelines and meet safety standards to even qualify for reopening. To help navigate this reopening process, the New York Forward Business Reopening Lookup Tool was created. This tool will help determine whether or not your business qualifies for reopening.
