YONKERS INSIDER EDITORIAL: Murtagh wins in court and is vindicated against false allegations put
forward by his opponents.
Last week, Yonkers Councilman John Murtagh, representing the 5th Yonkers City Council District won in court against his Republican Primary Opponent, Jodi Mosiello and her GOP Lawyer – John Ciampoli.
The Mosiello camp made allegations of Election Fraud, but these allegations were never proved and Murtagh was vindicated. This was character assassination on the part of Mosiello and her lawyer, Ciampoli. This is appalling since Ciampoli is a lawyer for the NYS Senate Republicans, the question is who gave him the order to challenge an incumbent Republican Elected Official’s petitions in court?
Could it be, Yonkers GOP Leader Zehy Jereis? Murtagh is a man of character of integrity, he has taken on the likes of Zehy Jereis and Giulio Cavallo as well. The Yonkers Insider supports Murtagh 100% against the Jereis/Cavallo Cabal. This is not the first time that Ciampoli challenged a GOP Office Holder, in 2003, he challenged Appointed Yonkers City Court Judge Ed Borrelli’s Independence Party Petitions in a race against Arthur Doran, III. Ciampoli takes his orders from Jereis and Cavallo, this Writer believes.
This is the view and opinion of Yonkers Insider.
