Statement from Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano.


Friends, 

This week, I joined Stew Leonard's to spare one of 75,000 turkeys ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
“Mooney” the turkey was pardoned and will be sent to a Connecticut farm to live out his remaining days in freedom.

Aside from pardoning a turkey, the Yonkers Police and Fire Department joined me in handing out hundreds of turkeys to those in need during Stew Leonard's Turkey Brigade.

Special thanks to Stew Leonard's, the Yonkers Police and Fire Department for your continued community engagement and support!
