Friends, 

With the start of the new school year, we must teach our children the importance of healthy living, and it starts with what we eat.

This week I joined my friends at the Creating Healthy Schools and Communities led by Cheryl Brannan for a panel discussion on what we can do to promote healthier lifestyles in our schools and our city.

Mayor Mike Spano and Fire Commissioner Robert Sweeney held promotions for seven new Lieutenants and three new Captains.

Congratulations to each of the promotees as they embark on this new journey in their careers within the Yonkers Fire Department.
