Statement from Yonkers Mayor, Mike Spano.


Friends, 

I'm no stranger to a busy week, but this week has proven to be a great one in Yonkers.

This week Lionsgate, a major motion film company worth over $2 billion is anchoring their $100 million studio in the City of Yonkers. Along with calling Yonkers home, Lionsgate is set to bring new jobs and placing Yonkers at the center of film and television production in the region. 

We also welcomed our Yonkers Public Schools students back to school, submitted legislation to the Yonkers City Council to ban the sale of flavored e-cigarettes, swore in 31 new firefighters and so much more!
