AWR and City of Yonkers Celebrate Over $1.5 Million in Savings for Yonkers Residents
Through Service Line Protection Program.
American Water Resources and The City of Yonkers partnership offers Yonkers residents
water and sewer line protection from repairs.
Yonkers N.Y. – American Water Resources (AWR),
a subsidiary of American Water,
will hold a press conference on Friday, September 13th at 166 Minerva Drive
in Yonkers, NY to celebrate saving
customers over $1.5 million in avoided repair costs within the first two
years of the partnership with the
City of Yonkers.
The partnership provides Yonkers homeowners with optional water and sewer line protection services.
The
program allows 24,000 eligible homeowners served by the City of Yonkers
access to protection plans that extend from city
water and sewer mains to a homeowner’s residence and are designed to
protect city residents from the staggering costs of water and sewer line
repairs that are not typically covered by homeowner’s insurance.
At present, 1 in 3 eligible Yonkers homeowners have signed up for protection from the unexpected costs of service line repairs.
