This is a rematch from Two Years ago, when Westchester County Legislator Gordon Burrows, Republican defeated the challenge of Democrat, Ruth Walter by a count of 52 percent for Burrows to 47 percent for Walter.
There are some things that helped Walter make it close last time, there was a hotly contested race for Westchester County Executive between George Latimer and Rob Astorino as well as a Ballot Measure that was pushed by Unions to help get the vote out for Democrats as well.
We feel that will be an interesting race, since there is no Major County Wide Races to draw from and also no big Ballot Measures this time around.
This is one of the races to watch in the County of Westchester and one of the only races that is competitive in Yonkers in the November Elections. We will keep our readers posted on this most important race for Westchester County Legislator in the 15th District.
Legislator Burrows has done much in his time as an Elected Official as a County Legislator for Many Terms as well as being a member of the Yonkers City Council for many terms as well.
The question is what does Ruth Walter, bring to the table in this race, in our view, Resisting President Trump is not a plan.
Does Ruth understand how Westchester County Government works? Will she talk this time from the heart, rather than off the George Latimer Talking Points? We understand that Ruth Walter is backed by the Indivisibles, whose only goal is to resist President Trump, well that is not a plan.
Why should voters throw out an accomplished and experienced Elected Official for someone who has never done this job before?
Let's make one thing crystal clear, Yonkers Insider supports Westchester County Legislator Gordon Burrows in this race for Re-Election, that is our personal opinion.
