June 14, 2019
Dear Friends,
Happy Father's Day weekend, folks! It's that time of the year when we thank and honor all the fantastic fathers in our lives. Fathers worth celebrating may come in the form of uncles, grandfathers, cousins, friends, or anyone you look to as a father in your life; but whomever they may be, celebrate them!
Heading into the third week of June, Yonkers City Council will be deciding on the City of Yonkers 2019/2020 budget. All public meetings held by Yonkers City Council are publicized and televised.
Best Wishes,
Khush Kam-Au
Majority Leader Michael Sabatino

This past Tuesday, June 12th, Westchester students from the Zion Episcopal Church in Dobbs Ferry donated a canine bullet/restraint vest to "Cali" at the Yonkers Police Department.
The Yonkers Police Department K-9, including YPD Commissioner Charles Gardner, was extremely appreciative of the bulletproof vest gifted to their department and Cali by the students of the Zion Episcopal Church. Promptly after giving Cali her new protective gear, the YPD K-9 unit put on a demonstration of how a K-9 officer is trained to be field ready.
