Did you know that The City of Yonkers opens Parks Facilities and Senior Centers to the public as cooling centers during heat waves? These cooling centers are spread throughout Yonkers for the convenience of its residents. The City of Yonkers and I hope these centers are used to avoid heat-related emergencies. Regularly drinking water and eating healthier options, such as more fresh fruits and vegetables, are great habits to stay safe from emergencies during the summer and for one's continued health.
