Dear Friends,                           

August is creeping up on us, folks. Time to register and participate in many of Yonkers summer activities and events is closing. Before the summer is over, and school is back in session, and we are back to the hustle-and-bustle of the non-summer season, I beseech all Yonkers residents to check-out a free movie at one of Yonkers many beautiful parks; or try your hand at kayaking by taking a few lessons with the Yonkers Canoe and Paddling Club; or sit with a friend for a production by the Untermyer Performing Arts Council on a Saturday night. 

Be on the lookout for 'back to school' specials around Yonkers starting at the beginning of August. Local vendors wants to give you the best deals for your Yonkers student(s), and buying locally helps to strengthen our Yonkers schools.
