Dear Friends,
I hope you have all had a great week! It's been exciting catching up with family, friends and constituents this summer. I take pride in hearing the concerns of my constituents and have been hard at work with my staff to ensure each issue is addressed. There is plenty more that needs to be done in our city, I am working diligently to fix the education formula hindering the growth in funding for our schools, I hope to continue to move forward with our city and state delegation to make this possible.
This week we all celebrate a tremendous leader, Yonkers Police Commissioner Charles Gardner. Commissioner Gardner will be retiring later this month after serving over 40 years in the Yonkers Police Department. The Commissioner has led our Police Department to reach unprecedented success and we are all grateful for his years of service and dedication to our residents. Congratulations to Deputy Chief John Mueller, the next Yonkers Police Commissioner. We are confident you will continue the great work.
With extreme heat warnings this weekend, I urge you all to stay indoors and keep cool! As always, please contact my office with any concerns you may have we are always here to help!
Have a great weekend!
Nader J. Sayegh
