May 10, 2019
Dear Friends,
This Sunday, May 12th is Mother's Day. I hope all of the mothers and those who will be celebrating with a mother, including their own mother, in-person or in-spirit, will have a day filled with love, laughter, and life! Mothers play an important role in all of our lives in one way or another and honoring those who have taken on that role for others is the least we can do to show all of our appreciate for what they do. Please enjoy and be safe.
Best Wishes
Majority Leader Michael Sabatino

Reactivation of Alternate Side Street Parking on Upper Warburton Avenue

Communicating changes in our neighborhood(s) that can save people a lot of stress and money is part of what being a Yonkers Council Member is about. Effective as of this week, alternate side street parking has been reactivated on Upper Warburton Avenue going onto Odell Avenue.

YPIE College Zone
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the ribbon cutting of the new Yonkers Partners in Education (YPIE) College Zone on 92 Main Street. The YPIE College Zone is intended to be a safe and productive space for our Yonkers students to assist with their journey through the college search, preparation, and application processes. The College Zone will feature Coach Rooms, which are reserved for one-on-one coaching sessions between students and YPIE mentors, as well as a fully functioning kitchen, an assembly hall built to accomodate its 300 participants and staff, and six 'learning labs'.
I trust the YPIE College Zone will serve the students & the different communities of Yonkers well as
YPIE has for years.
