NYS Legislature regulates toxic chemicals in children’s products: Last week, the State Senate and Assembly both overwhelmingly passed the Child Safe Products Act (A06296-A/S. 501-B) - also known as the Toxic Toys bill - a long overdue step forward in protecting our children’s health and our environment.

As part of a nationwide recycling crisis, the Fulton County Department of Solid Waste announced that its recycling program is rising in cost by four times compared to a year ago. NYLCV continues to advocate for long-term solutions to the recycling crisis. (Leader-Herald)
U.S. House Transportation Committee Chair Rep. DeFazio promised that he would include the reconstruction of the tunnel under the Hudson River in the infrastructure spending plan that is currently being negotiated in Washington. NYLCV and the Build Gateway Now coalition have been advocating for reconstructing the tunnel. (NY Daily News & The Star-Ledger)
