Happy Mother's Day Greetings from Majority Leader, New York State Senate, Andrea Stewart Cousins, 35th District.

Dear Friend, No one can overstate the impact our mothers have on our lives. Whether biological or adopted, single or married, grandmother, aunt, caregiver, mentor, role model, all who earn the title “mother” deserve our deepest appreciation and gratitude.  That’s why on Mother’s Day, I reflect on the valuable life lessons my mother taught me. Sometimes she spoke her advice. Sometimes it was a “look.”  Sometimes it was just watching how she met life’s challenges head on. Whatever she did, I realize as an adult, she did out of love for her family and community. It guides my work in public service to this day. This Mother’s Day and every day, I hope you take the time and opportunity to let the special mothers in your life know how much they are valued and loved. Happy Mother’s Day!
