Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is a celebration of good over evil and brings happy tidings and a promise of a better tomorrow.
Let us become beacons of light for each other and triumph over hopelessness. Let us work together against darkness and shine bright in our communities for our neighbors and our children.
Please join me in recognizing the history, success, and many achievements of South Asian and Indo-Caribbeans in the City of Yonkers and beyond.
