Senate Majority Leader Cousins has been the New York State Senate Majority Leader since 2019. Majority Leader Cousins has been in the New York State Senate since 2006, When She defeated then New York State Senator Nick Spano for the 35th District Seat. She was Previously on the Westchester County Board of Legislator from 1996 - 2006.
Khris Kerr was born in New York. She earned a high school diploma from Brooklyn Technical High School. She earned a bachelor's degree from the Pratt Institute in 1992 and a graduate degree from City University of New York, John Jay College in 2007.
Kerr ran two years ago for New York State Senate in the 35th District against New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins.
