Furthermore, I am optimistic that, alongside my fellow state Assembly and Senate colleagues, our continued fight for increased funding will prevent the necessity of laying off educators, allowing us to maintain essential academic programs and services for all students in Yonkers school districts.
Moreover, I was deeply honored to cosponsor Resolution K2331, memorializing the Governor to proclaim November 28, 2024, as Albanian-American Heritage Day in the State of New York.
Joined The Messiah Baptist Church in celebrating its historic landmarking status as well as 150 years of service to the community in Yonkers. As a State Assemblyman, I was proud to have helped make this a reality. The historic landmarking was celebrated with special remarks from Reverend Al Sharpton.
Finally, participated in Dairy Day in Albany acknowledging the tremendous economic benefits to the dairy industry has to New York State.
I again call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza! I urge all involved parties to engage in negotiations for a lasting peace agreement, which includes the release of all hostages and prisoners. Additionally, it is imperative that the international community promptly addresses the hunger and starvation affecting the population in Gaza. From the start of this conflict, over 37,000 have died. |
