Yonkers Insider Publisher Delfim Heusler Interviews William Wagstaff Democrat for Westchester County District Attorney to discuss his candidacy for Westchester County District Attorney.
This is the first time running for public office for William Wagstaff. He has been active in the community for many years in the City of Mount Vernon.
William O. Wagstaff III has recently represented victims in several high-profile civil rights cases.
William’s commitment to his community is equal to his commitment to justice.
He serves the community on committees like: He served as Special Prosecutor for Police Disciplinary Hearings, serves as Chair of the African American Men of Westchester Mentoring Committee, and is on the Board of Directors for the Legal Aid Society of Westchester.
Wagstaff’s civil rights advocacy, legal experience, and ability to effect change are making him the change agent in his race for DA.
William is Born and raised in Mount Vernon, and a lifelong Westchester resident.
If elected DA, Wagstaff wants to have a Hate crimes bureau in the DA office along with a Bureau that helps Immigrants on issues that they need help with.
He wants to have a reimagined DA office if he becomes Westchester County District Attorney in this year's election.
The other Democrats running are: Retired Westchester County Court Judge and Former Assistant District Attorney Susan Cacace and Former Assistant District Attorney Adeel Mirza.
Westchester County Democrats will have their Nominating Convention on February 12th.
So far no GOP Candidate have announced for Westchester County District Attorney. We will keep our readers posted on this most important race.
