Words cannot fully express the gratitude and joy I am feeling today but I will do my best. We won 61% of the votes in the primary which means we are one step closer to our goal of bringing new leadership to the County Board of Legislators, District 16.
Thank you to every voter that participated in the primary elections – whether you voted early, by absentee or on primary day, your vote mattered. A very special thank you to the 1,608 residents who believed in me and casted their vote for me to be their County Legislator. Together we will make Yonkers and Westchester County government work for everyone.
Thank you to my campaign team that worked tirelessly to make sure we were able to reach the voters and get the vote out. Our messaging through mail and texts by Precision Strategies Group, our campaign video by S.I.C. Film School, our social media by Omar Herrera made an impact that led to our success.
To all our volunteers, district leaders, business owners, friends and family who gave their time to help us in this primary, thank you very much. Thank you to everyone who hosted a fundraiser for me – Vincent Spano, Nick Spano, Huessin Rababa, the Nofal Family, and Hezues R. – and every person who contributed. Your confidence in me made all the difference.
Thank you to the Yonkers Democratic City Committee, Yonkers Firefighters Local 628, Teamsters Local 456, District Council 9, Eleanor’s Legacy, Muslim Democratic Caucus, Indian American Democratic Committee of Westchester for your endorsements. We are victorious because of you all.
