This election, voters have an opportunity to protect clean water by replacing aging pipes and sewage systems, upgrade infrastructure to withstand a changing climate, and invest in clean energy for a sustainable future.
North Hempstead will add 30 electric vehicle charging stations across seven town facilities, tripling the current number of publicly accessible chargers in town. Officials said a $500,000 state grant will allow the town to install Level 2 EV chargers, which can fully charge a car in four to eight hours.
Mayor Adams unveiled new details about the city’s resiliency efforts around its coastline and its long-term plans to guard against severe storm-surge flooding. His announcement Wednesday at Pier 35 in lower Manhattan was intended to highlight the city’s progress when it comes to resiliency.
