I would like to wish all who celebrate a Happy Rosh Hashanah! Rosh Hashanah is a very important holiday for the Jewish community as it marks the start of the Jewish New Year. It marks the start of the Jewish High Holy Days, a ten day period that leads up to Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashanah is also known as a celebration of God’s creation of the world.
During this holiday, members of the Jewish faith ask for the forgiveness of God for wrongs they have committed. The holiday serves as a reminder not to repeat the same mistakes, a process of continuous self improvement as we move forward in the year.
I wish you all a Shanah Tovah!
Best regards,
Hon. Corazon Pineda-Isaac
