On Monday, September 19, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., at the Bernice Spreckman Community Center, I sponsored a class on How to Prevent an Opioid Overdose. Lilly Neuman was our guest speaker. She is currently the Director of Community Outreach and Prevention Education at St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester, a Division of Saint Joseph's Medical Center.
Also present were Susan and Steve Salomone with the Drug Crisis in our Backyard and Kimberly James with the Yonkers Coalition for Youth. Free Narcan Kits were provided to all who attended. Lilly demonstrated how to easy it was to administer it.
