Dear Friend,
We have some exciting community events coming up for our Yonkers residents.
First, join us at Saturday’s Riverfest in Downtown Yonkers starting at 12 p.m. It’s a great time to gather with loved ones to listen to live music and sample delicious foods.
You may see a few runners this Sunday as we kick-off our 95th Yonkers Marathon at 8 a.m., the second oldest marathon in the country. We’re so excited to bring this back after a 2-year hiatus because of COVID-19 cancellations. To those running, I wish you all the best and good luck on those hills!
Lastly, we announced the Yonkers Columbus Day Parade is back. As a proud Italian American, I’m extremely grateful to celebrate this Columbus Day with all of you and to finally have this annual tradition continue. I hope to see you walking with me on Sunday, October 2nd, at 2PM starting on Seminary Avenue.
Enjoy your weekend!
MIKE SPANO
Mayor
