Friends,
On this Memorial Day, we pay tribute to those heroes who laid down their lives to preserve peace, freedom, and the security of our nation, as well as the men and women of our Armed Forces currently serving at home and overseas.
I am proud that the City of Yonkers takes great pride in honoring its Veterans, recognizing them for their courage and commitment to the country.
May we remember our Yonkers residents who paid today for our tomorrow.
As you enjoy this day, may you also reflect on what it truly means to live with freedom in the United States of America.
I encourage you to join us this morning for our City's Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at Veteran's Memorial Plaza at 40 S. Broadway at 9AM.
