A rooftop solar record was set in NY March 22. The people who operate our power grid estimate that solar energy production from homes and businesses (BTM) reached a record of 2,328 MegaWatts during the noon hour on Tuesday, March 22nd. One megawatt is approximately the amount of electricity needed to supply 800 to 1,000 homes. Powering homes and businesses with affordable solar energy cuts electricity bills while moving us forward on the State's ambitious clean energy goals.”
