The Yonkers City Council held a Rules Committee meeting yesterday evening, February 15, 2022. All items on the agenda appear below, as well as the decisions taken by the City Council in regard to these items.

City Council Rules Committee Meeting

Items for Consideration by Administration

1.       Resolution – approving the submission of grant application to the NYS Division of Homes and Community Renewals (HCR) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES) Program to help fund three Community Initiatives. (Positive Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.) (Moved to Community Services Committee for further discussion)
 
2.       Resolution – approving an agreement between the City of Yonkers and Channel Outdoor, LLC. (Positive Fiscal Impact.)(All Councilmembers.) (On Stated Council Agenda for February 22, 2022)
 
3.       Resolution – approval of a Special Use Permit to allow for an expansion of an existing convenience store at Section 6, Block 6071, Lot 17.12, on the property known as 41 Alida Avenue a/k/a 631 Yonkers Avenue pursuant to Article VII of the Yonkers Zoning Ordinance. (No Fiscal Impact.) (Councilmember Rubbo.) (Moved to Real Estate Committee for further discussion)
 
4.       Special Ordinance – authorizing acceptance of New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services Livescan Equipment Program 2021 Grant in the amount of $4,957 and amending the City of Yonkers Grant Budget for Fiscal Year 2021/22. (Positive Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.) (On Stated Council Agenda for February 22, 2022)
 
 5.       Special Ordinance – authorizing acceptance of State Grant Funding from the Empire State Development in the amount of $2,000,000 and amending the City of Yonkers Grant Budget for Fiscal Year 2021/22. (Positive Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.) (On Stated Council Agenda for February 22, 2022)

2.   Local Law – Amending Section C8A-1 of Article VIIIA of the Charter of the City of Yonkers in relation to the Commissioner of Housing and Buildings (On Stated Council Agenda for February 22, 2022)
 
3.    Resolution – approving one (1) Inter-Municipal Agreement by and between the City of Yonkers and County of Westchester to accept CSE Transportation Service PY 2021-22 Grant Funding. (Positive Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.) (On Stated Council Agenda for February 22, 2022)
 
4.   Resolution – consenting to the appointment of Dr. James Hassell as a member to the Yonkers Community Development Agency. (No Fiscal Impact.) (All Councilmembers.) (On Stated Council Agenda for February 22, 2022)
