The Yonkers City Council held several committee meetings yesterday evening, Tuesday, January 25, 2022. We held a City Council Stated Meeting, a Real Estate Committee Meeting, a Budget Committee Meeting, and a Community Services and Mental Health Committee Meeting. All items on both agendas appear below, as well as the decisions taken by the City Council.
Real Estate Committee Meeting
1. Amending a Planned Urban Renewal Development Special Use Permit on property known as 86 Main Street also known as Block 513, Lot 2 pursuant to Article 7 of the Yonkers Zoning Code. (Moved to Rules Committee Meeting on February 1, 2022). 2. Accepting the Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement (FGEIS) on the proposed Ludlow Community Plan (TOP) Adoption and Zoning Amendments (“Ludlow Rezoning”) (Moved to Rules Committee Meeting on February 1, 2022).
Budget Committee Meeting 1. Special Ordinance- Of the City of Yonkers, New York, determining the terms, form and details of issuance of $28,490,000 General Obligation refunding Serial Bonds-2022a (forward delivery) and $11,840,000 General Obligation refunding Serial Bonds-2022b (forward delivery) of the city, directing their private sale, and providing for the rights of the holders of said bonds and other obligations of the city (Moved to City Council Stated Meeting on January 25, 2022).
2. Special Ordinance - 2022 Bond Ordinance of the City of Yonkers, New York authorizing funding for various Capital Projects included in the city’s 2021-2022 Capital Budget, as amended; stating the total estimated maximum cost thereof is $6,849,000; appropriating said amount therefor; and authorizing the issuance of bonds of said city in the principal amount of not to exceed $6,849,000 to finance said appropriation (Moved to City Council Stated Meeting on January 25, 2022).
3. Special Ordinance- Amending the City of Yonkers Capital Budget for Fiscal Year 2021/2022 by increasing the Capital Budget by $6,849,000 (Moved to City Council Stated Meeting on January 25, 2022).
4. Resolution State Environmental Quality Review Act for various Capital Projects in and for the City of Yonkers (Moved to City Council Stated Meeting on January 25, 2022).
Community Services and Mental Health Committee Meeting 1. Resolution of the City Council of the City of Yonkers calling on the State of New York to open a testing center for COVID-19 in the City of Yonkers. (Moved to Rules Committee Meeting on February 1, 2022).
