Yonkers Insider: Statement from Yonkers City Council Majority Leader Corazon Pineda Issac 2nd District.

As abundantly evident, COVID cases are on the rise in Yonkers and globally. As of today, there are 5,554 active cases in the City of Yonkers, a more than 200% increase from the 1,600 cases that we reported last week. Please do everything in your power to protect yourselves and others by socially distancing, wearing masks, and being intentional with those you gather with. As an FYI, the Yonkers Public Schools will be offering free COVID-19 tests on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 10am to 1pm at multiple locations to ensure YPS staff and students have a safe return to school on Monday, January 3, 2022.
