Yonkers Insider: Statement from Yonkers City Council Majority Leader Corazon Pineda Issac 2nd District.

 

As many of you are aware, COVID numbers have been rising rapidly in the city, state, country and across the world. I, myself, have recently tested positive for COVID, and in the short-term, that means being unable to celebrate my birthday and Christmas with friends and family. On a larger scale, however, this issue extends beyond myself or any individual. It is important to remember that we are still in the midst of a pandemic, in which individual actions and safety protocols can save real lives. In Yonkers, there are over 1,600 active COVID cases. As a result, a new statewide mandate has been passed in which people are required to again wear masks in all indoor public spaces. With the holidays only days away, please be cognizant and respectful of everyone's safety and well-being. Stay safe!
