Greenburgh Insider: Update: Underhill temporary light will be removed by Friday.

 

Good news for those who are annoyed with the temporary light on Underhill Road. But, there is a phase 2 starting in March.

this is one of the most annoying temporary lights around--but the work is necessary

The contractor is scheduled to pave the closed lane (Stage I) tomorrow and if time allows will remove the signals to permit two way traffic. If the signals are not removed tomorrow they will be removed on Friday. As stated in an earlier email there were issues with the substructure work that in turn delayed the overall completion of deck work (Stage I/II). Stage II work is anticipated to begin March 1st of next year and take about 2 months. 

Stage II will have a similar traffic pattern used in Stage I.
