Dr. Christina Lyon and her husband Doug were contemplating an early retirement during the days of Covid, but instead decided to open up a business in the heart of Greenburgh.

Doug is the youngest of five children and grew up Greenburgh, not too far from their store. He graduated from Edgemont High School and still has dinner with his high school friends once a month  in where else... Greenburgh. So when Christina and Doug were scouting out store locations, it's no surprise that the bustling Central Avenue corridor in Hartsdale was an easy decision.  Doug is often heard boasting about how happy he is that he "came back home"  to open a family-owned  business in Greenburgh.

Christina, who has been a Professor at Columbia University, has helped many kids over the years without means write college essays. Doug was a Boy Scout Troop Leader for over a decade and frequently donated money and supplies to kids who couldn't afford to go on costly adventures. They are both active volunteer firefighters in their community and giving back has always been the core of their foundation.

They have reached out to me and would like to donate NEW glasses for needed children who live in the Greenburg community. In a recent phone call conversation with Christina, she told me that they would love to donate 150 frames and lenses for children who might be struggling with reading a blackboard or unable to play a sport because they cannot afford glasses.  Together they have five children and understand how important it is to support kids in need. I have put them in touch with the Greenburgh Neighborhood Health Center to implement this generous offer. They are willing to refurbish your old glasses and supply them to the local homeless shelters,

They are having their grand opening November 6 from 11-4 pm. All are Welcome!
