Yonkers Insider: Yonkers City Council Majority Leader Corazon Pineda Issac 2nd District: Yonkers City Council Meeting - September 28, 2021.

 

The Yonkers City Council held a City Council Stated Meeting last night, September 28, 2021. All items on the agenda appears below, as well as the decisions taken by the City Council. We have also included the decision made at the Real Estate Committee Meeting held last week. Real Estate Committee Meeting 1. Resolution - To declare the City Council's intention to seek lead agency under SEQRA for the amendment of Chapter 43 of the Code of the City of Yonkers, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Yonkers, regarding the "B" District to include a new permitted use of automobile rental establishments with supplemental requirements (Item stayed in committee). City Council Stated Meeting Old Business 1. General Ordinance - Amending Article XV of Chapter 43 of the Code of the City of Yonkers entitled "Affordable Housing" (Held over to be discussed on October 12, 2021). 2. Resolution - SEQRA for amendments to Article XV of Chapter 43 of the Code of the City of Yonkers entitled "Affordable Housing"  (Held over to be discussed on October 12, 2021). New Business 3. Resolution - Accepting the donation of dry ice from Con Edison for distribution to city residents (Adopted 7-0). 4. Resolution - Settlement in the amount of $240,000 - City of Yonkers vs. Frank Ferraro (Adopted 7-0). 5. Resolution - IMA - EISEP Case Management Grant funding in the amount of $97,352 (Adopted 7-0). 6. Resolution - IMA - Community Services for Elderly Grant funding in the amount of $65,277 (Adopted 7-0). 7. Resolution - IMA - CSA Case Management Service in the amount of $95,828 (Adopted 7-0). 8. Resolution - Recognizing and celebrating Hispanic Heritage in the City of Yonkers by declaring September 15 to October 15 Hispanic Heritage Month (Adopted 7-0). 9. Resolution - Commissioner of Deeds (Adopted 7-0).

I encourage Yonkers city residents to keep up with these items to stay current on what is happening in our city!
