Many residents are still suffering due to the damages caused by the storm.
FEMA will continue to be at library.
Some residents may need help with transportation since they lost cars
Think town should waive building permit fees
NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS - someone looking for ride to shopping since she lost her car...
Some residents of 100 E Hartsdale Ave and 80 E Hartsdale Ave lost their cars during the recent storm. So did other residents around town (including residents of 100, 99 Manhattan Ave and 33 Oak). I received this e mail from a resident of E Hartsdale Ave looking for a ride to take her grocery shopping. If anyone would like to volunteer please e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com with your info so I can share with the resident. If other residents contact me I will try to connect volunteers with residents who ask for this service. The town accepts no responsibility for the referrals.
RESIDENT SEEKING HELP
"Good morning! As per our phone conversation this morning, I am interested in obtaining a free ride to grocery store (ShopRite, etc…). As my car was totaled from the flood on 9/1/2021, I am without access to stores. I cannot get a car now as I am dealing with caring for mom who is at home on hospice.
I wonder if there are any volunteers to take me shopping.."
An update. The turnout at the FEMA mobile financial assistance was great. FEMA decided to continue their outreach at the Greenburgh library. They will be at The Greenburgh library Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 AM to 6 PM. Mon-Wed 10 AM - 6 PM; Sunday 9 AM - 5 PM;
