Hot New Rochelleans: Catch A Wave!
Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation & Conservation will waive Westchester County Park Pass requirements at Willson’s Waves Pool @ Willson’s Woods Park in Mount Vernon (8 Bradford Road, just off Lincoln Ave.). For all New Rochelle residents who are unable to enjoy a swim at Lincoln Park Pool during these last sweltering summer weeks because of the construction of the new Boys & Girls Club and a new apartment building.
Willson’s Woods is one of the oldest parks in the county parks system and is well known for its waterpark complete with a wave pool where you can body surf on three foot waves or splash down an 18 foot high water slide. It will be the place to be all the way to Labor Day!
Our office takes special pride in this accomplishment, as we worked closely with the City of New Rochelle and the Westchester County Parks Department to accommodate New Rochelle residents looking for more than just a place to have fun, but a place to go and cool off during the current heat emergency.
Proof of New Rochelle residency is required for admission.
Pricing for Daily Admission is as follows:
- Adults: $8
- Senior Citizens: $5
- Children Ages 5-11: $5
- Children Under 5: FREE
The offer is from Saturday, August 14 through Labor Day, September 6.
- Public parking is extremely limited at Willson Woods Park
- If you can, please take the Beeline Bus on the Lincoln Avenue Corridor
- Masks are required for patrons entering the facility & when walking to locker rooms or concession stand.
