Officer Hutchins and Rodriguez happened to be in close proximity to a shooting incident and immediately jumped into action. As a result of their quick actions, along with some of our other Officers, multiple firearms were recovered, and two arrests were made. We thank Officers Rodriguez and Hutchins, along with our other hard-working officers, who work hard to keep Mount Vernon safe.
We would like to extend our appreciation to Detective Williams and McCue and our federal partners in the ATF on the confiscation and arrest of an individual in possession of this illegal firearm after a vehicle stop that lead to a foot pursuit.
