NRC Seeks Public Comment on Indian Point Decommissioning Report. Residents concerned about Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC's plans for the decommissioning of the Indian Point nuclear power plant in Buchanan, have a chance to register their concerns now through October 22, 2021. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is seeking public comment on Holtec's post-shutdown decommissioning activities report. The report, filed with the NRC in December, contains a site-specific decommissioning cost estimate, an overview of Holtec's planned activities, schedule, projected costs, and environmental impacts for the decommissioning.
