Greenburgh Insider: Expect traffic delays at 4 corners, Hartsdale during August.

 

Construction of a new sidewalk on Central Ave at the vicinity of the 4 corners in Hartsdale will result in traffic delays during the month of August from 7 AM to 3 PM.

Please note that there will be heavy traffic delays westbound on West Hartsdale Avenue towards Central Avenue and the Hartsdale Train station during the month of August on weekdays from 7:00am - 3:00pm to accommodate construction of the Central Avenue Sidewalk in the vicinity of Four Corners. Allowing work during this time period is planned to facilitate completion of the sidewalk in this area, in advance of the fall school year.  Lane closures/modifications in the vicinity will result in traffic inconveniences.

The sidewalk being built is from Marion Ave to W Hartsdale Ave. Much of the work has been done in recent months. The work being done in August is the final aspect of the project.  We believe that the sidewalk will enhance pedestrian safety when completed.
