Dear neighbor,
Happy Tuesday! Also, thank you to all of our teachers, nurses and people working in public service as we head into a week of gratitude for each profession. Thank you for all the work you do to support students, care for others and to serve. As this past year has shown, your work is essential especially as we deal with a pandemic and disaster after disaster -all entirely unexpected.
Oftentimes, we will have to deal with disasters that can seem completely out of our control. Yet, there are steps we can take to prepare ourselves and respond to disasters when they do occur. That is why I am inviting you to a virtual presentation tomorrow, May 5th at 6:00 p.m. with the American Red Cross to discuss “What to do When Disaster Strikes.”
I will also be joined by Stephanie Dunn Ashley, CEO of the American Red Cross Metro New York Chapter. Join us to learn how to prepare, respond, and recover from local emergencies and large-scale disasters in your community and about the types of disasters you and your family may face, from home fires to hurricanes.
To join, tomorrow May 5th at 6:00 p.m. ET sign up at the link below.
