Yonkers Insider: Statement from Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano: Memorial Day -- Remembering Our Fallen Heroes.

 


Friends,

On this Memorial Day, we pay tribute to those heroes who laid down their lives to preserve peace, freedom, and the security of our nation, as well as the men and women of our Armed Forces currently serving at home and overseas.

I am proud that the City of Yonkers takes great pride in honoring its Veterans, recognizing them for their courage and commitment to the country. 

May we remember our Yonkers residents who paid today for our tomorrow. 

As you enjoy this day, may you also reflect on what it truly means to live with freedom in the United States of America. 

God bless you, God Bless Yonkers, and may God forever bless America.
