Yonkers Insider: CORRECTION: Yonkers City Council Meetings - May 11, 2021 by Yonkers City Council Majority Leader Corazon Pineda Issac 2nd District.

 


CORRECTION: The legislative highlights below were sent yesterday evening with an error. Please note that item #17 was NOT adopted 7-0, but instead was held over, to be considered at a later date.

The Yonkers City Council held a City Council Stated Meeting today, May 11, 2021, as well as a Community Services and Mental Health Committee Meeting. All items on both agendas appear below, as well as the decisions taken by the City Council.

The City Council also held a Public Hearing this evening in regard to the draft GEIS (Generic Environmental Impact Statement) created to study the environmental impacts of the proposed zoning changes for the Ludlow Street Corridor, which is still available for public review and comment (see here). Community Services and Mental Health Committee Meeting

1. A Resolution of the City Council of Yonkers Calling on Mayor Spano and his Administration to Pursue Amendments to the Residency Requirements and Preferences for Applicants for the Position of Yonkers Firefighter and Police Officer (Moved to Rules Committee agenda of May 18, 2021)
