Greenburgh Insider: 851 people have already signed online petition calling for sidewalk on W Hartsdale Ave.

 

A new sidewalk on W Hartsdale Ave would be a big quality of life enhancement.

Less than 2 weeks ago we started an online petition calling on New York State to appropriate funds for a new sidewalk on West Hartsdale Ave from Central Ave to Secor Road. This sidewalk would enable hundreds of pedestrians who live near W Hartsdale Ave to walk to Central Ave, the Hartsdale train station and businesses located on Central Ave and E Hartsdale Ave. It would be a big boost  for the local economy and for public safety since W Hartsdale Ave is so dangerous to walk on or cycle on.

The request has generated significant support--851 people have signed the online petition already.  If you agree that a sidewalk is necessary and haven't signed as of yet, please participate in this important petition.  Am sharing the petition with state lawmakers and hope to organize a site visit for them so they could appreciate the importance of the request for funding.
