We have another Candidate Spotlight for Election 2021 to introduce our readers to Stella Schwuchow, A First Time Running for Yonkers City Council in the June 22nd Democratic Party Primary.
Stella is 28 Years old and Was Born and Raised in the City of Yonkers. It is said that Collectively Stella's Family has lived in Yonkers 100 Years, since the late 1800's. She attended Yonkers Public Schools and then went on to receive a scholarship to attend Manhattanville College, where She double majored in English and Education. She continued her Education Studies and received her Masters Degree in Education a Year Later. When She got out of College, Stella became an eighth grade English Teacher, after 3 Years She decided to explore her passion in the Field of Communications. She currently is employed in the Field of Sales and She was been working full-time as an essential worker in the midst of the COVID Pandemic.
About 4 Years ago now, She co-founded an organization called Yonkers Spotlight, which right now has over 4,000 followers that are mostly people within the City of Yonkers and County of Westchester as well. Yonkers Spotlight has been a Social Media Campaign on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter that produces news that are an interest to the Public as it is an Public Access Engagement Platform for all Residents of Yonkers regarding Community News and Community Events.
She also is on the Board of Directors for a 501 (c) 3 organization called the AAA-All-Stars, an organization which helps underprivileged children in Southwest Yonkers through Athletics, Academics & the Arts.
Stella is empowered by running the race for Yonkers City Council in the 6th District as a First Time Candidate. She feels that She has the Energy and Passion to fight for the needed changes that are needed in our Community in the 6th Council District. Her Mission Statement in this Campaign is to put District 6 First again, along with another host of Issues in Her Platform, which if Elected She will bring Voice to on the Yonkers City Council.
She faces a June 22nd Democratic Party Primary against Endorsed Yonkers Democratic City Committee Candidate Tim Hodges.
