Yonkers Insider: Yonkers City Council Minority Leader Mike Breen 5th District: Yonkers COVID-19 Vaccine Site, Target Ground Breaking and Coyote Remediation.

Councilman Breen wants you to know....
Friends,

You asked and your government listened. We now have a COVID-19 vaccine site in Yonkers! It is located at the New York National Guard Recruiting Center at 2 Quincy Place, right next to the Yonkers Police Athletic League on North Broadway. This site is open to all residents of Westchester County and appointments can be made HEREThis center will prove to be a practical resource for better servicing residents who have been disproportionately affected, relieving the burden off of the Westchester County Center's distribution site – allowing for shorter lines and more available appointments.

Appointments are going quickly so please check back regularly if a spot isn't immediately available.

Coyote Remediation

There has been an uptick in coyote sightings in our City and I want to thank Senator Shelley Mayor and the Yonkers Police Department for coordinating a meeting with the NY Department of Environmental Conservation. This virtual meeting allowed me to express how important it is to get this issue under control.

Our City's residents are seeing more and more of these coyotes and we need to make sure we are all safe. I am confident that we are and we will continue to work with the DEC and all levels of government to keep it that way.

If you do encounter a coyote please contact the Yonkers Police Department at
(914) 377-7900 so they can make a record of all instances and address the situation and provide further guidance.

Welcome Target to Yonkers!

This week we broke ground for a Target store right here in Yonkers! Target's newest location will be located at Cross County Center, one of the nation's first open-air shopping centers. This 132,000 square foot, four story store is occupying the space that previously was used by Sears. and is scheduled to open in 2022.

Thank you to Target for your significant investment in our City and recognizing that Yonkers is a great place to do business.

Please feel free to reach out to me at mike.breen@yonkersny.gov and
(914) 377-6315 for any questions or concerns.
Very Sincerely,

Mike
