A new bicycle and pedestrian path along the West Side Highway will connect a trail between the Pier 97 waterfront greenspace and Riverside Park using a State grant. The NYS Public Service Commission approved the cable landing for the state's first offshore wind project, the South Fork Wind Farm, which NYLCV is advocating to advance. This step forward will encourage the growth of renewable energy, establish New York as a hub for this emerging industry, and position Long Island as a hub for family-sustaining green jobs.
