On Tuesday, March 23rd, Westchester County petitioners showed their overwhelming support for the re-election of Timothy (Tim) Idoni as Westchester County Clerk. Over the last three weeks, Democrats collected more than 9,000 signatures in support of Tim’s re-election, and Working Families Party representatives gathered over three times the required number to file. Tim Idoni has been endorsed by the Democratic and Working Families parties in his bid for re-election as Westchester County Clerk. In order to secure a place on the ballot, candidates are required to collect a minimum number of signatures from members of the designated party. Tim far surpassed those required numbers.

From every corner of the County, more than 900 petitioners - with masks on and sanitizers in hand - collected signatures from fellow Democrat and Working Families Party members. They were clearly expressing their appreciation for the transformation the Clerk’s office has undergone under Idoni’s leadership. It has become the embodiment of good government, exemplifying transparency, accessibility, modernization, diversity and inclusion.

"I am humbled and grateful for the strong support from my fellow Westchester Democrats and Working Families registrants," declared County Clerk Tim Idoni. "My commitment to our residents is to continue to expand the work and efficiency of our Westchester County Clerk’s office. I have always worked to help the people I am tasked to represent. I believe that good and effective government is an absolute necessity. The government must always be a vehicle to raise everyone up. "

Since being elected County Clerk, Idoni has streamlined the office, getting rid of no-show political patronage jobs; bringing in 21st century technology; issuing thousands of identification cards which help undocumented residents; assisting in the naturalization of tens of thousands of new citizens; and mobilizing passport services in a County Clerk van that travels to every town in Westchester - all while producing a revenue surplus for the last 14 years. This surplus not only saves the taxpayers money but actually goes to aid other departments like Health, Veterans and Social Services in need of assistance.
