Yonkers Insider Newspaper Publisher Delfim Heusler yesterday interviewed Shanae Williams Democrat for Westchester County Clerk for close to 11 Minutes and here is what we report on from the interview with her.
During Interview Shanae Williams said she feels it's time for a Change in Westchester and She has a vision for the Office of Westchester County Clerk. Her Bio She's 31 Years Old, She's Been in Government, since College, She's been involved in Government for 10 Years Now.
She said She loves being a Public Servant and She loves working on behalf of the People. She came over from Jamaica and has lived for Yonkers for most of the years here. She has lived in South Yonkers for a good many years and She is a product of Yonkers Public Schools.
In College, She did an Internship in the New York State Assembly. She feels that the Westchester County Clerk's can make more of an impact on people's lives in Westchester County in her view in terms of providing and services that needed by Westchester County Residents as well and that is why She is running for Westchester County Clerk. She wants residents to learn more about the role of the Westchester County Clerk's Office, She that is very important for the Residents of Westchester County.
She running to make the Office of Westchester County Clerk more Inclusive and Equitable for the People of Westchester County. Also that People understand the Laws and also People know how to utilize those Laws for the betterment of the People and for Empowering the People in Westchester County as well. Most Employees in the Westchester County Clerk's Office and She believes that the Westchester County Clerk should be more Pro-Active getting out Information to Residents of Westchester County in a better way.
Williams Stated that Diversity is important to her. She stated that there has never been a Person of Color Elected County Wide/Westchester County Clerk in Westchester County. Shanae wants to follow in the footsteps of People like Vice President Kamala Harris, Stacey Abrams and New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins.
She is running against Current Westchester County Clerk Tim Idoni in a Democratic Party Primary. She has to collect a Minimum of 600 Signatures to make the June Primary Ballot for the Office of Westchester County Clerk. Collecting Signatures for Designating Petitions of Different Parties and Offices Starts Officially on March 2nd and goes till March 22nd to March 25th, where Petitions have to filed at the Westchester County Board of Elections.

Also Williams feels that there should be Term Limits in the Office of Westchester Clerk's Office as well as the Term limits that is in place for Westchester County Legislators and Westchester County Executive as well.
