(White Plains, NY) – County Executive George Latimer is proud to announce the appointment of André G. Early as Deputy Commissioner of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation
Early comes to the County from the Town of Greenburgh Department of Community Resources, which he served as Commissioner since 2016. He is skilled at addressing the diverse needs of communities, and possesses over 20 years of experience in management and operations.
Early holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Hampton University and Masters of Business Administration from Mercy College. He is a member of the Westchester County Human Rights Commission and Fair Housing Board, White Plains Juneteenth Heritage Committee, NAACP, Student Advocacy and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. New Rochelle-White Plains Alumni Chapter, to name a few.
Westchester County Parks owns and operates a wide range of facilities including six golf courses, pools and beaches, recreational parks, trailways and nature centers. Some unique facilities include Alfred B. DelBello Muscoot Farm, Kensico Dam Plaza, Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial, Playland Park and the Westchester County Center. Westchester County Parks has been Nationally Accredited since 2003 through the National Recreation and Parks Association. It is the only nationally accredited parks system in New York.
