As previously noted, the town has an active snow angels program headed by Miles Cooperman, an Ardsley High School senior. We have volunteers who help seniors and disabled residents clear driveways of snow. These volunteers do not get paid. But--the demand for the service is greater than the number of volunteers. We have been able to help about 50 seniors during recent snow storms. When school is in session it's harder to get student volunteers for this important service.
An idea - if you or a family member are willing to help fellow residents clear their driveways of snow and get paid for the service --we will forward your names to those who contact us who desperately need help with snow removal. We will continue to offer snow angels services for free to those who are unable to pay and who are elderly or disabled.
It's aggravating -we want to help everyone but the demand is so great. A big thank you to all our snow angels who are willing to help their neighbors.
