Greenburgh Insider: Town of Greenburgh Report: Message from snow angels--- and please don't throw snow on Road.

 

The Greenburgh snow angels are a group of volunteers. During the last snow storm we were able to help 50 families. This is a very big snow. It's going to take the volunteers much longer to help even one family. We believe we should be able to assist at least 35 families with the volunteers we have. We might not be able to help everyone on our list today --think it could take a few days to get to everyone we need to help If individuals have unusual circumstances (receive meals and wheels) or have major medical problems we can help clear a walk so they could get food or be assisted in emergencies. We don't think we could help assist new families at this time because of lack of volunteers. If you would like to volunteer and become a snow angel please e mail greenburghsnowangels@gmail.com. Please do not throw snow back on road. We're going to send our crews home for a rest since they have been working non stop since Sunday night. They need a break. Don't want to create hazards.
