The City & State Must Prioritize Low-income, Black, and Latino Communities Within The Early Stages Of The Vaccine Roll-out.
"Today I stood alongside Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, Council Members and Black, Latino, and Asian Caucus Co-Chairs Daneek Miller and Adrienne Adams, and Council Member Mathieu Eugene demanding that the City and the State prioritize low-income, Black, and Latino communities within the early stages of the vaccine roll-out.
We cannot forget about the low-income, Black, Latino, and immigrant communities who were disproportionally impacted by COVID. Many New Yorkers from these communities suffer from heart disease, asthma, and pre-existing conditions that make them more vulnerable to the virus. I look forward to working alongside my colleagues at the City and State level to ensure we're prioritizing the most vulnerable and at-risk New Yorkers."
